National Speaker on Suicide Prevention, Josh Rivedal, To Speak at Bryan Medical Center

Bryan Medical Center will host a free community education program featuring Josh Rivedal, an author, actor, playwright and international speaker who reaches audiences with his story of survival and will to live.

Josh is internationally recognized for his work related to suicide prevention, mental health awareness and diversity. He will share his story on losing his father and grandfather to suicide, his own near-suicide attempt and how he found hope, healing and a new life in the aftermath.  Josh will also share several inspiring, true stories from his newest book, The I’Mpossible Project. 

His presentation is titled: Re-engaging with Life, Creating a New You: Turning Impossible into I’m Possible.

The program is part of Mental Illness Awareness Week, which is held annually during the first full week of October. Nearly 350 individuals have registered to hear Josh speak and share his story this evening. Bryan Health is proud to be the region’s foremost health care provider of educating and treating mental illness in people of all ages.
