Register today by contacting Susan Eichele, Tabitha Hospice volunteer coordinator, at 402.486.8506 or email susan.eichele@tabitha.org.

Training is conducted by professional Tabitha Hospice team members. Sessions address the hospice philosophy, the role of each team member, confidentiality, communication techniques, spiritual care, comfort measures, understanding end-of-life issues and managing personal stress. Hospice clients may reside in their homes or a living community. An interdisciplinary team including the client’s physician, nurse, aide, social worker, chaplain, and volunteer work together to make the client’s end-of-life journey as pain-free, peaceful and fulfilling as possible. Tabitha Hospice clients and their families routinely report a high level of satisfaction with the friendship and support provided by Tabitha Hospice volunteers. For more than 30 years, Tabitha Hospice has provided support and care for persons with a life-limiting illness so they might live life as fully and comfortably as possible.

As a nonprofit organization serving 28 Nebraska counties, Tabitha’s love embraces a society where everyone is valued and empowered to live life to the fullest, with compassionate at-home support, innovative living communities, exceptional rehabilitation, health care and hospice services.
